Key Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
• Specialized K-12 Certificate or endorsement in Visually Impaired Special Education
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• Experience working as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in school settings
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff and families
• Comfort with supporting students in person and potentially through virtual platforms

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized educational plans for students with visual impairments
• Deliver instruction in academic subjects and life skills, tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress
• Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for accommodations or assistive technology
• Mentor and guide classroom teachers on best practices for inclusive education
