Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity where your expertise will empower elementary students to communicate with confidence. This contract role is based onsite and will run from September 2, 2026, through February 15, 2027, covering a caseload of approximately 40 students at an elementary school near Lakewood, WA. Enjoy a focused assignment supporting young learners and collaborating with the school’s behavior program—no AAC devices or medically complex needs currently present in the caseload.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathology license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI (or willing to complete this process)
- Possession of a Washington ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certificate, or the readiness to acquire one
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC credentials
- School-based SLP experience or a strong desire to work in a school setting
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to an elementary student caseload (around 40 students)
- Develop, implement, and document individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with special education teams, families, and behavior program staff
- Conduct assessments and regularly monitor student progress
- Attend and participate in student support meetings and staff consultations
