Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We're hiring a compassionate and dependable School Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide 1:1 support for a middle school student in Hanover, PA during the 2026-2027 school year . This rewarding part-time opportunity includes supporting a student in both the school setting and during community-based transition activities.

Position Details:

• Location: Hanover, PA
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule (2-4 days per week)
• Hours: Typically 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM (approximate)
• School Year: August 18, 2026 – May 27, 2027
• Setting: Middle school and community-based transition program

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with autism participating in a transition program
• Monitor for seizure activity and administer emergency medication if needed
• Accompany the student during community outings and work-based learning activities
• Support the student's safety while encouraging independence
• Collaborate with school staff and caregivers as needed

Student Information:

• Middle school male student in an autistic support transition program
• Requires seizure monitoring and emergency medication
• Building nurse manages routine medications while at school
• Student is ambulatory and independent but benefits from frequent verbal prompting

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged students preferred
• Comfortable monitoring seizures and responding in emergency situations
• Reliable transportation for community-based activities
