Senior Corporate Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, one of the best companies to work for on Long Island, NY, is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant.Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will:

• Prepare journal entries (including monthly accruals, analysis of general ledger and documentation)
• Cost allocation analysis
• Prepare audit schedules and coordination with independent auditors
• Coordinate with banks, legal counsel, limited partners on a regular basis
• Compare accounting records against budget and forecasts
• Manage/create entities in Yardi accounting system
• Setup new bank accounts and review of treasury process
• Approve/code invoices

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of related corporate accounting or public accounting experience (Yardi experience is a plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with coworkers and third parties

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
