Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Lacey WA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a busy retail distribution location where you will help manage entry points verify badges and credentials monitor site activity and support a professional welcoming experience for visitors and staff. This role combines customer service technology and security-related awareness in a team-driven environment built on integrity reliability innovation and a caring culture that puts people first.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entrances exits gates and credential checks to help control authorized access for employees visitors and delivery personnel.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building parking areas loading zones and perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Assist with visitor management vehicle entry screening and communication with site contacts regarding security-related procedures and/or operational concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
