Location: Bern, KS
Pay: $27.00/hour
Schedule: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Route: Local – approximately 15‑mile route

Job Description

Adecco is partnering with a local manufacturer to hire a Delivery Driver for a direct hire opportunity in Bern, KS. Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, this role is responsible for safely delivering and picking up pet food products while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

This is a local driving position with consistent hours and a short delivery route, ideal for CDL drivers seeking stability, predictable schedules, and long‑term employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up products according to the production and delivery schedule

• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries

• Maintain accurate daily truck logs and delivery paperwork

• Execute inbound and outbound transactions using onboard systems

• Load and unload trucks; operate truck and trailer equipment safely

• Adjust truck weights to meet safety and DOT requirements

• Ensure proper product sampling and documentation is completed

• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs on trucks and trailers

• Maintain communication with Logistics and Mill leadership

• Follow DOT, GMP, HACCP, and SQF procedures at all times

• Report human and food safety hazards immediately

• Assist with training new drivers as needed

• Operate a forklift when required

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment

• Support other departments as needed

Regular, predictable attendance is required and is an essential function of this role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Class A CDL with current medical card

• Experience with manual pneumatic systems required

• Clean driving record and ability to comply with all FMCSA regulations

• Prior tractor/trailer experience preferred

• Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety policies

• Proficient with basic computer systems and electronic logs

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Willingness to work overnight hours and occasional overtime

• Ability to work in a team environment and support company goals

Work Environment

• Local driving with short delivery routes

• Exposure to production, warehouse, and outdoor environments

• Emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance

Pay Details: $27.00 per hour
