Accountant (Remote)

Join one of the world's leading technology companies as part of a high-performing Accounting team supporting Compensation Accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys owning critical month-end close activities while partnering across Finance, HR, Payroll, Tax, and Legal.

No prior compensation accounting experience is required-we're looking for someone with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close who can quickly learn and make an immediate impact.

What You'll Do

• Own month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations while investigating and resolving variances
• Pull and analyze data from ERP systems to support financial reporting and close processes
• Perform month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter fluctuation analysis and present findings to leadership
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, audit requests, and documentation requirements
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, HR, Payroll, Tax, and Legal to resolve accounting questions and support compensation-related initiatives
• Assist with ad hoc projects, issue resolution, and process improvements in a deadline-driven environment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Expertise preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Experience with Workday Financials is required
• Advanced Excel (or Google Sheets) skills with the ability to work with large datasets
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both accounting and non-finance teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Alteryx, n8n, or other automation/AI tools is a plus
• Experience supporting compensation-related accounting (bonuses, commissions, equity, benefits)
• Background in a technology or high-growth organization
• Knowledge of IFRS, SOX compliance, and audit support
