Assistant Project Manager - Power Distribution

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS AN ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER AT SIGMA:

• Assist Project Manager in planning and executing projects from planning through delivery.
• Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
• Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project milestones and deadlines.
• Monitor task completion status to identify at-risk projects and communicate with Project Managers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists Project Manager with managing the entire life cycle of a function(s), project(s), program, and/or customer, from set-up through execution to close-out.
• Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects.
• Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
• Analyzing data as required.
• Prepares agendas, meeting notes, drafting invoices, drawing estimates, and project summaries.
• Monitors task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and reports project progress.
• Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with power distribution design or related projects; management may consider other education and/or work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position.

Requirements

• Available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday-Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
• Willing and able to travel as needed, including monthly overnight travel.
• Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to endure frequent/lengthy: Driving, standing, walking long distances (5 miles or more in a day), navigating rough terrain on foot, and lifting/balancing objects that may weigh up to ~20 lbs.
• Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
• Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal.
• Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
