Assistant Coach, Men’s Wrestling

Assistant Coach, Men’s Wrestling Stanford Athletics seeks a qualified individual for the full‑time position of Assistant Coach, Wrestling, who will report to Head Wrestling Coach Matt Gentry. The assistant coach will assist with coaching, practice planning, recruiting, video coordination, travel logistics, academic monitoring, program marketing, and summer camp administration. This fixed‑term position is contracted to May 31 2027. Responsibilities Instructing and coaching student‑athletes, practice planning, video coordination, and recruiting Drill and live wrestle on a daily basis at a Division I level Coordinate team travel logistics Assist with organization required for visiting teams, recruits, and other activities/events Assist with wrestling program marketing/promotions and alumni development Assist and monitor student‑athlete academic progress Assist with the organization and administration of summer camps Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and three years of coaching experience; Division I collegiate or professional coaching experience preferred Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with student‑athletes, peers, and the general public Demonstrated ability to complete tasks under deadlines Ability to set priorities to perform a high volume of detailed work with constant interruptions Flexibility and willingness to work as a team player Computer literacy with common office applications, such as Word and Excel, required Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of Stanford University, ACC Conference, and NCAA Ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University, and the community DAPER’s Integrity This position is responsible for ensuring that its involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and complies with university policies, NCAA and conference rules and regulations. Pay The expected pay range for this position is $72,500–$80,000 per annum. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs. Base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
