Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions for a custom cabinet company, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, OSHA compliance, and training. This role serves as a strategic and hands‑on business partner to leadership to support business growth, workforce development, compliance, and a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will support a workforce that includes office personnel, designers, installers, warehouse employees, and field staff while promoting a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Relations Manage day-to-day HR operations, policies, and employee records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters. Partner with leadership to develop talent management and organizational effectiveness strategies. Lead recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts for hourly and salaried positions. Maintain job descriptions and support workforce planning. Payroll, Benefits & 401(k) Administer payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage employee benefits, leave administration, and annual open enrollment. Coordinate 401(k) enrollment and communication with plan providers. Safety & OSHA Compliance Oversee workplace safety and OSHA compliance for office, warehouse, and field teams. Coordinate safety training, incident reporting, and workers’ compensation matters. Training & Organizational Support Support leadership development, management training, and employee development initiatives. Assist with performance management, organizational structure, and workforce planning. Collaborate with managers to promote a safe, productive, and inclusive work environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, home services, or skilled labor environments. Experience with payroll, recruiting, benefits, OSHA, employee relations, and compliance. Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. HR certification preferred (PHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP).
