Frankl Kominsky Injury Lawyers is seeking a Legal Assistant . We are looking for candidates who want to establish their career at a highly reputable law firm while contributing to the growth of the firm! Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments is strongly preferred as well as a desire to work in a collaborative, team environment. This is an ideal position for a motivated, organized, detailed and hard-working individual. The Legal Assistant must demonstrate that they possess the ability to meet deadlines, be effective and efficient.

Job Type:

• Full-time

• Hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation:

$20 per hour

Responsibilities:

Job duties and responsibilities :

• Provide clear and concise communication to a multitude of parties including the clients, attorneys, medical providers and insurance companies.

• Maintain attorney’s calendars.

• Ensure deadlines are met.

• Schedule and confirm appointments, recorded statements, IMEs and EUOs.

• Follow up and request all documents regarding clients’ cases including but not limited insurance information, police reports, medical records and bills.

• Provide support to case manager and attorney while managing a caseload.

• Prepare demands and draft legal documents.

Qualifications:

Qualification and Experience:

• The Legal Assistant position is an entry-level position and legal experience is not required.

• Minimum of one year of customer service or office work experience or demonstrated interest in the law.

• The Legal Assistant must have a high school degree.

• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Must have a positive attitude and be computer savvy.

• Strong multi-tasking ability.

• Must be innovative, self-starter, and goal oriented.

• Candidate should be able to manage deadlines; ability to follow up and be detail oriented.

• Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team.

• Bilingual –English/Spanish or English/Creole a +
