About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and performing financial functions, including the day-to-day management of the Finance Department and supervision of the accounting staff. This role is pivotal in ensuring the overall sound financial planning and functioning of all programs and components of the organization. The VP of Finance will be involved in developing and monitoring agency standards of operations, preparing operating budgets, and exercising control over the agency's financial activities. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the formulation of financial policies, preparing various financial reports, and making recommendations for cost-effectiveness measures. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should possess a Master's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience. A CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the administration of a non-profit organization, with a strong background in budgeting and grant management. Essential skills include good supervisory abilities, knowledge of federal and state regulations for non-profit organizations, and proficiency in information systems and financial operations. The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively, good computer skills, and a valid State Driver’s License. The VP of Finance will be expected to contribute to the strategic and annual planning activities of the organization and to represent the company with external authorities and the community as needed.
