Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for a spectrum of clients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using established assessments combined with observational insights.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing aims.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise cohesive care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate continued progress outside the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless integration of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Keep meticulous records that adhere to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through ongoing training and interaction with colleagues in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
