Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Louisiana Special Education certification, or a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with a willingness to pursue Special Education certification
• Previous experience working with students with autism (preferred)

• Dedication to creating positive, supportive classroom environments
• Commitment to professional growth and best practices in Special Education

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Deliver engaging instruction that supports students’ individual goals and developmental needs
• Create a safe, structured classroom environment that enables all students to succeed
• Effectively collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
• Contribute to school meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as needed

This position spans the full academic year, with anticipated start and end dates aligning with the school calendar. It involves working onsite for 37.5 hours per week, giving you the stability to focus on building rapport and consistency with your students.
