Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications/Experience Desired:

• Active Louisiana Special Education (SPED) certification or a valid Louisiana teaching license with willingness to pursue SPED certification
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and differentiated instruction
• Outstanding communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and adaptive materials to foster engagement and learning
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Safeguard the well-being of all students and promote an atmosphere of respect and belonging
