Is building trusting relationships an integral part of why you do what you do? Do you push limits and challenge the status quo? If you answered YES, keep reading to discover how you can significantly contribute to Team USA's success!
The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is a nonprofit organization and one of the only National Committees worldwide that does not receive government funding for its Olympic and Paralympic programs. Instead, it relies on the generous support of donors and sponsors. Increasing philanthropic support for U.S. athletes is one of USOPC's highest strategic priorities. To achieve this, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation (USOPF) serves as the organization's fundraising arm, with significant resources invested in its Development division.
The Vice President, Philanthropic Giving Central, is a senior leadership role within the USOPF, responsible for overseeing a robust philanthropic program in the Midwest region of the United States consisting of major, principal and campaign giving. Reporting to the USOPF President and Chief Development Officer, this position manages a team of geographically based Philanthropic Giving Officers and collaborates with other Development leaders to achieve revenue goals. This individual works closely with the rest of the Development leadership team to achieve programmatic growth as the USOPF significantly scales in operations, fundraising and donor engagement. The Vice President also manages a personal portfolio of select prospects and donors with a giving capacity of $5M+ ensuring the success of the Philanthropic Giving Central team and playing a key executive role in the Foundation's comprehensive fundraising campaign for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

- Serve a key role in creating, reinforcing, and supporting the USOPC's culture.
- Embody the USOPC's core values and promote and acknowledge them across the organization.
- Support the USOPC's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, increase spending with certified diverse suppliers (minority, women, disabled veteran, veteran, people with disabilities, LGBTQ), and commit to learning about and championing inclusivity and access for all.
- Represent the USOPC as an externally facing ambassador at meetings and events with prospective and current sponsors, donors, and other external stakeholders. Present to external stakeholder groups such as NGBs, LA28, and other affiliated organizations.
- Periodically present to the USOPC Board of Directors and affiliated committees to provide updates and progress of strategic objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
- Manage critical business issues, develop short- and long-term strategic plans aligned to the USOPC's priorities, and oversee a combined budget for all departments. Provide thought leadership and innovative problem-solving around key operating and business challenges.
- Hire, mentor, support, coach, motivate, and develop teams to maximize collective performance. Create an atmosphere for outstanding teamwork through clear expectations, frequent communication, and providing fair and consistent feedback. Manage performance of team members effectively.
