Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend and holiday availability required (at least 8 weekends per contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform triage assessments and manage a high-acuity patient population
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, perform phlebotomy, and start IVs
• Administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Manage ventilated patients, apply CPAP/BiPAP, and interpret ABGs
• Float to other campus locations as needed; all RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No open background cases permitted; third-party education verification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with triage in a high-volume emergency department
• Comfort managing ventilated patients and interpreting ABGs
• Experience with procedural sedation and IV vasopressor administration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
