And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.The RF Talent Center is seeking a motivated RF Engineer to join a skilled team supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) Wildfire Program Portfolio with a focus on the T2 and T3 Tracking programs. The communication payload subsystem consists of digital, RF, and optical components and that collectively transmit mission information across a constellation of satellites. This role is focused on Ka subsystem delivery. You will contribute to a team of Payload subsystem Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs), Responsible Systems Engineers (RSEs), and Integration and Test engineers in the design, development, integration, and delivery of complex RF subsystems and flight hardware. As a RF Engineer, you will:Drive the end-to-end development of the Ka band RF hardware, from concept through to flight ready delivery, including detailed design, verification, and test execution.Lead and document trade studies that evaluate performance, risk, cost, and schedule impacts, delivering clear recommendations that shape mission outcomes.Own and manage all payload Ka-band systems engineering work products including specifications, requirements, analyses, and verification/test plans and strategies.Ensure Lockheed Martin Space standard processes, tools, best practices, and training are properly implemented across the team.Work to integrate the RF products towards a common goal of mission-capable design, verifiable test requirements, and ATLO campaign planning.Define Test Requirement Documents (TRDs) to develop test scripts at testbed and deliver to ATLO, in support of Ka-band mission requirements.Oversee supplier FRBs prior to hardware delivery and lead subsystem FRBs during SV integration campaignCollaborate and communicate effectively across program leadership, including Program Management, Chief Engineer, and IPT leads.Basic QualificationsBackground in RF design, systems engineering, or integration and testExperience contributing to program milestones such as design reviews, test readiness, integration, or deliveryAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. CitizenDesired SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across stakeholders effectively, including customers, suppliers, management, and peers.Demonstrated people management skills including mentoring, coaching, performance management, and team developmentExperience developing and delivering RF or digital hardware for space applicationsBackground as a CPE or RSE or equivalent roleExperience working on Mission Assurance Class C and/or D ProgramsStrong understanding of systems engineering processes (requirements management, risk analysis, verification & validation).Experience/Ability to work in a fast paced environmentProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practiceActive Secret Security ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
