ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE TECH.
Automation Personnel Services is looking for dedicated Environmental Services Technicians for a hospital in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment while gaining valuable experience in a professional hospital setting and supporting patients, visitors, and medical staff.

 

Pay Rate
Entry Level: $15.00 per hour

Mid Level: $16.00 per hour

Upper Level: $17.00 per hour

 

Schedule and Hours
1st Shift 7:00AM-4:00PM

2nd Shift 3:30PM-12:00AM

Hybrid Shift- 7:00PM-3:30AM

Hybrid Shift- 9:00PM-5:30AM

Environmental Service Tech.  Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout patient rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Collect, transport, and properly dispose of general, medical, and other designated waste following hospital procedures.
• Follow strict infection prevention and control guidelines to help maintain a sanitary and safe healthcare environment.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax, and maintain various types of flooring as assigned.

• Properly handle, dilute, label, store, and use approved cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, orderly environment while following hospital policies, safety requirements, and established Environmental Services procedures.

Environmental Service Tech.  Qualifications and Requirements 
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, or floor care experience is a plus.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness while following established hospital policies and procedures.
• Work effectively with Environmental Services staff, hospital personnel, and other departments to maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to obtain the necessary uniform.
