Business Development Manager

COL Group is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Manager, Content Licensing & Partnerships to support the growth of our content licensing business across North America, Latin America, and select international markets. This role will focus on identifying new distribution opportunities, building relationships with content buyers, managing licensing partnerships, and supporting revenue growth across COL Group's expanding catalog of premium short-form and mobile-first content. Reporting to senior leadership, the Manager will play a key role in executing COL Group's licensing strategy by developing sales pipelines, pitching prospective partners, negotiating commercial opportunities, and helping establish COL Group as a leading distributor of next-generation entertainment formats. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder with experience in media sales, content distribution, digital media, or streaming-focused entertainment. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Develop and maintain a pipeline of licensing opportunities across assigned territories. Prospect and engage potential buyers including streaming platforms, FAST channels, digital publishers, broadcasters, mobile entertainment platforms, and content aggregators. Generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, industry events, and networking. Support annual revenue objectives through the acquisition of new licensing partners and expansion of existing accounts. Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasting. Account Management Serve as day-to-day commercial contact for assigned licensing partners. Support account growth through renewals, catalog expansion opportunities, and new content offerings. Build strong relationships with buyers and partner stakeholders. Coordinate internally to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing partner support. Licensing & Negotiation Support Participate in licensing discussions and commercial negotiations. Prepare deal proposals, sales materials, and rights availability information. Collaborate with senior leadership, Legal, and Business Affairs teams to finalize commercial terms and agreements. Track deal progress through execution and launch. Market Representation Represent COL Group at select industry events, conferences, screenings, and content markets. Build relationships with prospective partners and industry stakeholders. Monitor market trends and competitive developments to identify new business opportunities. Qualifications 3-6 years of experience in content licensing, media sales, partnerships, business development, digital media, or content distribution. Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and support revenue-generating partnerships. Understanding of streaming, FAST, AVOD, OTT, digital publishing, or mobile entertainment ecosystems. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools. Familiarity with content licensing, rights management, or media distribution preferred. Passion for short-form storytelling, creator ecosystems, vertical video, or microdrama content is highly desirable. COL Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
