About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience with telemetry and progressive care/monitoring. Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry. The role involves the care of post-operative surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients requiring monitoring. Registered Nurses will work with vascular patients, individuals with amputations, and detox patients. Patient ratios are generally 1:4 with the possibility of higher ratios depending on staffing needs. Every other weekend is required, and floating to other units may be necessary. Nurses will be responsible for IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and care related to chest tubes and wound vacs. Experience with central lines, PICCs, and administering cardiac drips is essential. Candidates must have the ability to manage tracheostomy care and use rapid response teams when necessary. The environment will involve interdisciplinary support from various medical teams. Willingness to accommodate schedule requests will be considered. Flu vaccination is required unless a medical exemption is provided. Submission of required documentation is needed upon application.
