Social Media Intern

The role We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to join our small but growing marketing team that works partly out of our Bushwick HQ and partly out of our Gallery of Scent popup retail experience in Manhattan. You'll create short-form content from start to finish and collaborate on bigger, more ambitious productions. We experiment a lot and pride ourselves on being unconventional, so you’ll have more freedom to try something unexpected here than you might at a more traditional brand. This is an entry-level role with real creative responsibility: we’re looking for someone who can see an opportunity, figure out how to make it happen and get moving while the idea is still relevant. What you’ll do Develop your own ideas and bring team concepts to life, handling filming, editing and posting on TikTok, Instagram and other channels Spot relevant trends, sounds and cultural moments, and turn them into content quickly Pitch and test new hooks, formats and recurring series, including ideas that don’t look like typical beauty or home-care marketing Use video-editing and AI tools to speed up production, try new creative approaches and make the finished work better Work with the team on larger, more heavily produced shoots, campaigns and launches Attend our weekly Ad Creative Strategy meeting to brainstorm new video concepts with the team You might be a great fit if you... Already make short-form videos and know your way around TikTok, Instagram and an editor such as CapCut Are scrappy and resourceful and can figure out how to get a good idea filmed without a big budget or instructions for every step Understand internet culture and have an instinct for what makes a video funny, interesting or worth sharing Are comfortable both behind the camera and occasionally in front of it, and enjoy trying new tools and techniques Are based in NYC: some of the work can be done remotely, but many shoots happen in person at our Bushwick HQ and the Gallery of Scent in Manhattan You don’t need previous brand experience, a marketing degree or a large following. Personal projects, videos for friends and content you’ve made for your own accounts all count. You’ll work closely with the marketing team, get feedback along the way and build a portfolio that includes projects you’ve owned yourself as well as larger team productions.
