Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Powerback, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations for new patients, which encompasses reviewing their medical history, performing specific physical assessments, and documenting findings accurately.
• Engaging in detailed discussions with patients and their families about evaluation outcomes and collaboratively developing tailored treatment strategies that align with their goals.
• Implementing individualized treatment protocols based on the evaluations, adjusting techniques as necessary to address the specific needs of each patient.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care, continuously monitoring and documenting any changes in patients' conditions.
• Managing the discharge planning process effectively, ensuring that patients are equipped with follow-up care instructions and transitions to home care or further rehabilitation are seamless.
• Maintaining productivity standards through excellent time management, participating actively in clinic marketing initiatives, and contributing towards the growth and visibility of our services.
• Pursuing continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills, and serving as a clinical instructor for interns or new hires when necessary.
• Promoting exceptional patient experiences by identifying and addressing barriers to accessibility and providing outstanding customer service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Your expertise in physical therapy will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and strength, improving their quality of life through tailored interventions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Compensation and Benefits
