Key Responsibilities

As a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your duties will encompass a wide range of clinical tasks and responsibilities, including:

• Assessing and evaluating clients to develop personalized physical therapy treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring physical function, improving mobility, and alleviating pain.
• Overseeing the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure they carry out treatment plans effectively.
• Conducting home evaluations to assess living conditions and recommend modifications that will enhance client independence.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the use of physical modalities such as massage and traction.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and update patient care plans regularly.
• Documenting all clinical encounters thoroughly, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Providing patient and family education regarding rehabilitation procedures and techniques.
• Participating in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to assess treatment efficacy and adapt plans as necessary.
• Acting as a public advocate for rehabilitation services through community outreach and education initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain conditions, and older adults needing rehabilitation support. You will leverage your expertise to engage and motivate patients from various backgrounds, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current physical therapy license in good standing to practice in Virginia.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, advocacy for patients, and the ability to lead others.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care or home care setting is required, candidates with specialized training or experience in geriatric rehabilitation, sports therapy, or pediatrics will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
