The Skeletal Orthopedic Sports Rehab Clinic in Portsmouth, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. Spanning 5,000 square feet, our clinic is equipped with the latest in sports medicine technology and resources which allows us to provide exceptional care tailored to each patient's unique needs. With a patient-centered focus, our clinic works predominantly with individuals covered by private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite in our Portsmouth facility, ensuring you have access to all necessary tools and technologies to perform your duties effectively. Operating Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance. Our clinic encourages a collaborative atmosphere where two fellow physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) work together to offer comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively assess and recognize the goals and needs of each patient, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, providing focused and personalized attention for optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement diverse care plans that promote recovery and performance improvement through various therapeutic techniques.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise programs to facilitate cost-effective treatments, enhancing mobility and motion.
• Document and maintain thorough records of services provided and patient progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their treatment journey, instilling confidence in their abilities to regain functionality.
• Promote healthy lifestyles through fitness and wellness programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effects, communicate with patients regarding their progress, and adjust plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse outpatient population seeking relief from orthopedic conditions. You will encounter a variety of cases, including post-operative care, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, allowing you to leverage your expertise while making a significant impact on patient recovery. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and demonstrated ability to design and implement effective exercise programs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically in WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• A history of utilizing various treatment interventions to achieve patient-centric outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
