Work Environment

The work environment is a welcoming rehabilitation facility that values teamwork and communication. Operating primarily in-person, you will work alongside a dedicated staff of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. Our regular operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop individualized care plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques aimed at improving patient mobility and reducing pain.
• Manage a focused patient load, providing dedicated time and attention to one individual per hour, ensuring quality treatment outcomes.
• Implement cost-effective treatment options that promote non-surgical interventions and minimize reliance on medication.
• Educate patients on exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications that enhance their rehabilitation process.
• Guide patients in developing fitness and wellness programs that cater to their specific goals and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance who seek outpatient orthopedic care. Qualifications

• Possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Hold a current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Norfolk, VA, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy techniques and effective exercise prescription.
• Have experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, facilitating efficient patient management.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and rapport-building with patients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
