Work Environment

The position is full-time, with work hours typically scheduled between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, from Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify specific needs and set personalized therapy goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility and strength.
• Provide hands-on therapy and educate patients on exercises and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, reassessing treatment goals and adjusting plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment provided, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards through EMR systems like WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to provide comprehensive care.
• Engage in continuous education to stay abreast of the latest physical therapy techniques and advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of patients, predominantly those requiring rehabilitation from sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care will enable you to create tailored fitness and wellness programs to meet the specific needs of each patient, enhancing their mobility and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board complaints.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a demonstrated ability to develop successful exercise programs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively motivate and educate patients throughout their treatment journey.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient clinic with a focus on sports medicine or orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, notably WebPT, to ensure precise documentation and patient management.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving patient outcomes through innovative therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
