Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - NC Urology Raleigh

We are currently searching for Advanced Practice Providers, preferably with urology experience but open to strong and motivated new graduate candidates, to join our NC Urology team at Rex/UNC Hospital and Rex/UNC Holly Springs Hospital (APP would work in both locations). The APP will work alongside a growing team of four Surgeons and two APPs to deliver patient centered comprehensive urologic care. Summary An Advanced Practice Provider functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high quality, cost effective care to patients within the APP’s scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician. The APP reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and other regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities Clinical: obtains history, performs assessment, reviews labs, develops plans, performs procedures; maintains records; participates in quality improvement; leads projects; performs medical procedures per guidelines. Education: educates clients/families, collaborates with staff, develops materials, provides instruction, attends education, engages in self‑learning. Leadership: instructs others, participates in community outreach, leads outreach programs, improves systems, fosters community networking. Professional: respectful communication with patients and staff, timely problem resolution, shared responsibility for workload. Quality/Research: continuous improvement, consults with management, leads interdisciplinary teams, initiates protocols, develops clinical programs. Education Requirements Completion of an accredited graduate‑level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program. Licensure/Certification Requirements Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in North Carolina. Board certification if required by the Department. DEA. Professional Experience Requirements No prior experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements Demonstrated clinical competency. Effective leadership, strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills. Effective interaction to ensure successful care of patients. Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
