Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market investment bank or corporate development team may seek a Transaction Sourcing Coordinator to identify, track, and manage potential transactions . This role is ideal for candidates interested in the origination and front-end pipeline of deals , providing exposure to deal strategy, market trends, and opportunity evaluation.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and qualify potential M&A, investment, and capital market opportunities
Maintain a structured deal pipeline and track transactions from lead generation to evaluation
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and sector benchmarking to support sourcing efforts
Collaborate with deal teams and senior bankers to align sourcing strategy with firm objectives
Prepare opportunity briefs, market insight reports, and internal presentations
Coordinate outreach to prospective targets, clients, and intermediaries
Monitor pipeline metrics and provide recommendations for prioritization of opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and client-facing purposes
Ability to manage multiple sourcing pipelines and projects in a fast-paced environment
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate development, consulting, or business development is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools, and market research platforms
