Regional Sales Representative

The territory is MO, NE, SD, ND IA, MN, and KS. Position is remote, must live within territory.

Overall:

Seeking dynamic and results-driven regional sales representative to grow our Mid-West sales territory. This role is responsible for executing strategic sales initiatives, managing existing accounts, identifying perspective clients and driving profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as strategic partner to government agencies, contractors and distributors by understanding current and future needs to align with Potters Industries capabilities and product lines.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations and proposals on existing and new products. Educate customers on the benefits and features of products.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish, grow and maintain client base including identifying potential customers, following leads and cold calling with a diverse array of customer types.
• Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and product development.
• Collaborate, implement and achieve annual sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide regular and timely reports to communicate customer interactions, business results, plans and priorities.
• Provide customers with exceptional customer service; work with urgency to resolve customer issues and problems utilizing internal teams.
• Collaborate on annual sales budget and forecast preparation for territory with sales management /product teams and track progress.
• Strategic business analysis. Ability to analyze data (external and internal) to determine key opportunities and strategies.
• Take ownership of assigned territory. Proactively take action on challenges and opportunities.
• Self-driven entrepreneurial individual with excellent communication and organizational abilities. Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Apply a consultative, solution based selling approach to discover customer needs and present customized Potters Industries solutions.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or GED – Technical degree a plus

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum Qualifications:

5 or more years of sales, account management or related experience that includes proven results growing and advancing markets and profitable sales growth

Proven success in manufacturing sales is preferred but not required.

40-60% travel.
