Manager, Growth and Membership reports to: Vice President, Growth and Membership

For 70 years, our client has been a leader in the conservative movement and one of the most trusted media institutions in America. They are seeking a Manager, Growth and Membership who will play a key role in advancing their mission by growing its audience, acquiring and retaining donors, strengthening brand positioning, and optimizing marketing performance across channels. This hands-on position will help build and maintain systems that effectively connect our client's conservative principles to measurable growth and impact. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in direct response marketing, donor engagement and retention strategies, and the ability to craft persuasive, brand-aligned donor communications. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and execution-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys testing new ideas, and is eager to work closely with the Executive Vice President of Growth and Membership.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and support direct response fundraising campaigns across email and other digital channels
• Draft compelling donor and event communications, including appeal letters, newsletters, invitations, follow-ups, and targeted fundraising messaging
• Manage end-to-end email campaigns for current and prospective donors, including audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis
• Develop and implement innovative donor stewardship strategies to deepen engagement and improve long-term retention
• Contribute to audience growth initiatives across digital platforms
• Support campaign planning, testing, and reporting to continuously optimize results
• Help maintain and improve marketing systems, tools, and workflows within the Growth and Membership department

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commitment to the principles of America's founding and conservatism: limited government, individual liberty, economic freedom, traditional values, patriotism, and a strong American posture at home and abroad
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising or commercial customer acquisition, public-interest media, advocacy-oriented media, or a similarly mission-driven organization
• Familiarity with modern marketing technology and fundraising infrastructure, including CRM systems, donor platforms, automation tools, analytics, experimentation platforms, and content operations systems
• Experience writing and sending donor communications designed to persuade, inform, and solicit contributions
• Strong understanding of donor and subscriber engagement and retention strategies across programming, communications, and outreach
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Location: Washington, DC

Status: Full-time, Hybrid (4 days in office)

Compensation: $150k/year
