Laser OperatorWage: Up to $23.50/hour to start + $1.00 shift differentialEmployment Group is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laser Operator to join a manufacturing team in New Berlin, WI. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precision metal components that meet quality and production standards. This is an associate to hire opportunity.Laser Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut metal materials according to specificationsInterpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawingsLoad and unload materials safely and efficientlyAdjust machine settings (speed, power, focus, etc.) for optimal performance and qualityInspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and defectsPerform routine machine maintenance and troubleshootingMonitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvementMaintain accurate production and quality documentationFollow all safety procedures and company policiesCollaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goalsLaser Operator Requirements:High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred1-3 years of experience operating laser cutting or CNC equipment (preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsBasic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming (a plus)Strong attention to detail and qualityMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift up to 15-50 pounds and stand for extended periodsStrong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skillsPreferred experience with sheet metal fabricationPreferred knowledge of metal types and thicknesses (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.)Preferred familiarity with CAD/CAM softwarePreferred forklift or material handling experienceEmployment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
