Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs, focusing on the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each client’s unique requirements, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address diverse psychological issues.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment options while promoting effective self-care practices.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated care that meets all aspects of a client’s needs.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder research and therapeutic techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to foster personal growth and team cohesion.

• Advocate for clients by working to reduce mental health stigma and ensure that their needs are met in a compassionate manner.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families dealing with relationship issues, including but not limited to, divorce counseling. The clients you serve may come from diverse backgrounds and present a range of emotional challenges. Your expertise in various therapeutic modalities will allow you to adapt your approach to best meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Currently licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Exhibits empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards the struggles faced by clients.

• Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client workloads and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with clients facing divorce and relationship challenges.

• Familiarity with additional therapeutic modalities, including structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, or communication therapy.

• Experience working in outpatient settings or teletherapy formats is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
