Staff Accountant

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations, inventory accounting, payroll processing, accruals, prepaid expenses, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and experience with accounting software. Location: On-Site Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually Key Responsibilities Process, review, and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, employee expense reports, and cash activity to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment. Prepare monthly account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Record and maintain accruals and prepaid expense schedules, ensuring expenses are recognized in the appropriate accounting periods. Post inventory transactions, reconcile inventory accounts, and prepare Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) entries to support accurate financial reporting. Process payroll through Paycom and record payroll-related journal entries, deductions, and benefits activity. Manage accounts payable workflows through Bill.com, including invoice review, coding, approval tracking, and payment processing. Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate in QuickBooks. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Support the accounting team with process improvements, documentation, and other general accounting duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 0–2 years of accounting experience. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Paycom preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
