Job Description : Accounting Manager About News Corp: News Corp is a global diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers and businesses throughout the world. What You’ll Do: News Corp is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Accounting Manager who will be responsible for day to day accounting activities, oversight of corporate books and records and will play an integral part in the implementation of special projects. Responsibilities: As a member of the corporate accounting department, the Accounting Manager will be primarily responsible for the following: Supervise staff, review and/or prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis Oversee the monthly/quarterly financial close process including the preparation of P&L, Cash Flow Statements, detailed analytics and account roll forwards Oversee all domestic and foreign intercompany accounts including confirmation of balances and maintaining correspondence with divisional counterparts Prepare various ad hoc reports, investigate balances, research accounting treatment Oversee accounts payable transactions Coordinate SOX 404 Testing and Reporting Assist in compliance with Internal/External Audits Required Experience and Qualifications: BA/BS in Accounting 5+ years accounting experience in either public or private (supervisory experience a plus) Ledger experience (SAP a plus) Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Advanced Excel Skills required) Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects and manage their time efficiently Must be able to work well in group environment, be committed to meeting strict deadlines, and willing to work long hours as needed Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills , excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups across a large organization Looking for a quick learning Team player that is highly motivated and energetic Location: New York Working Arrangement: Hybrid in office a minimum of 3 days per week Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status. Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent.
