About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required. License: Valid compact or state license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Experience with adult and geriatric patient population. Description: This position is for a Progressive Care Unit Nurse on night shifts. The role involves caring for patients with mixed acuity. Common cases include burns, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries. Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy. Floating between units may be required as needed. Candidates must be willing to work every other or third weekend. Strong clinical skills in various areas including arterial line management, blood product administration, and IV insulin protocols are needed. Experience with telemetry monitoring is essential. Interdisciplinary support is provided including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Two professional references are required for application, with at least one being from a manager or someone in a formal leadership role. No coworker references are accepted. All candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process. Travelers who are unresponsive or uncooperative with credentialing may risk cancellation of their application. RNs must have education from an accredited program.
