About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in PCU License: Valid compact or state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - PCU experience required - Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 - Charting system experience required Description: The role involves rotating weekdays and weekends, as well as rotating holidays. The nurse will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed. Estimated patient ratios are 1:4. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Experience with the electronic health record system is necessary. The patient population includes adults with various neurological diagnoses, including stroke and craniotomy patients. Key skills include blood product administration, understanding of dysrhythmias, and management of neuro patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available from physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Compliance with credentialing processes is crucial. References must include at least one from a manager or someone in a formal leadership role.
