We are looking for a driven and curious Process-Mechanical Engineer to work on water/wastewater projects locally in the Northwest and across the United States.As a Process-Mechanical Engineer, you will join a core group of water/wastewater and mechanical engineers and designers on studies, designs, and field assignments to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems that our clients face. Your assignments will focus on water/wastewater projects but may also include broader process-mechanical engagements. You will be part of our collaborative team and aligned with Jacobs' Infrastructure Design Department centered out of Corvallis, OR to provide the following services:Evaluation of pumping, treatment, and process options to determine the best approaches to solve client challengesAbility to understand and communicate complex problems and solutions with clientsPlanning and design for full-scale pumping, treatment systems, and treatment plant improvements for constructionDevelopment of facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Development of construction documents, including drawings and specificationsEvaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, pipe materials, and valvesData analysis and computer modelingTechnical report writingBidding and permitting services supportConstruction services supportField inspection of treatment/mechanical equipmentHere's what you'll need:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering disciplineProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseA minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including planning, evaluations, and designEducational emphasis and a strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operationSelf-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ideally, you'll have:Master's degree in civil, mechanical, or related engineering discipline10 or more years of direct experience in municipal wastewater treatment or process mechanical for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and conveyance systems experienceHydraulic modeling skills (e.g. Fathom, Pipe-Flo)Construction or facility operations experienceActive in relevant professional organizationsWorking with and leading project teams and or managing projectsExperience working and communicating directly with clientsOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
