Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting. Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department. It has received an A grade for safety and was awarded Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. We serve as the region's referral center for multiple advanced care services. Our emergency department has 101 beds with typical patient ratios of 4:1, and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. We prioritize teamwork and create a welcoming environment for our diverse community, which speaks over 120 languages. Staff support includes techs available to work in cardiac monitoring and triage. Documentation is managed through a specified system. Candidates should be prepared for every other weekend scheduling, with no commitments to block scheduling. Floating within the department is required, with openness to all sections of the emergency department. We emphasize patient experience and respectful behavior. Certifications must be obtained before the start date as specified. The unit is known for its outstanding teamwork and innovative patient care approaches.
