This role is ideal for someone who knows medical billing, enjoys solving reimbursement challenges, and can confidently manage claims from submission through final payment. You’ll work closely with our Medical Billing Team to maximize reimbursement, resolve denials, and ensure claims are accurately and timely processed. What You’ll Do Process and follow up on Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance claims Review claims for accuracy, coding, payer information, and required authorizations Manage denials, reconsiderations, and appeals to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement Work aging reports and unpaid claims through final adjudication Review EOBs and insurance payments for accuracy Submit secondary and tertiary claims as needed Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers to resolve billing issues Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements Identify billing trends and reimbursement issues and recommend solutions What We’re Looking For 3+ years of medical billing experience Experience with NC Medicaid and NCTracks Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, CMS-1500 and UB-04 Experience with insurance appeals and denial management Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Clinicient experience is a plus This is a fully onsite position in our Belmont, NC office. The role involves regular use of computers, phones, and other standard office equipment.
