Assistant Vice President, Tax

The Oaktree Global Investment Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Tax Reporting to coordinate and oversee tax reporting projects and work streams. The role focuses on providing real-time tax data and analytics to streamline reporting across the operating group and ultimate unitholders. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee tax reporting function, ensuring accurate and timely US federal, international, state and local tax returns and payments; Manage tax deliverables and processes in collaboration with external tax service providers; Lead and support strategic tax projects while keeping pace with state and local legislative changes; Deliver accurate and timely tax information for the management company and partners; Review and calculate book/tax differences, tax allocations, trial balances, capital accounts and partner allocations; Assist in the analysis of cross‑border acquisitions and dispositions to determine proper US tax treatment; Review quarterly tax estimates, withholding statements and annual K‑1 deliverables; Draft communications to senior stakeholders and partners, and correspond with state and federal tax authorities; Manage responses and documentation for all audit aspects. Qualifications 7‑9 years of relevant tax experience; Strong knowledge of general accounting and familiarity with financial investment issues preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; Outstanding initiative, eagerness to learn, strong work ethic; Customer‑oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills; Self‑driven, team‑oriented, integrity and professionalism; Experience with busy tax season and understanding of audit processes. Education A Bachelor’s degree relevant to this position is required; a CPA is preferred, and a Master’s degree is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary Range: $155,000‑$185,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work arrangements. Location LosAngeles, CA or NewYork City.
