SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising production on mid to large scale commercial projects (as needed) to ensure quality results for their assigned scope(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Includes the following, but are not limited to: Plan work schedule by assigning tasks to employees. Trains and manages other field staff. Order material and tools. Schedule delivery of major material items. Attend job site meetings. Supervise the installation, verify it is being made in accordance with the contract documents and code requirements. Call for inspections and accompany inspector during walk through, noting and violations Notify the general Contractor or contact administrator of any code violations, omissions, conflicts, or deviations in the installation documents. Submit cost estimates and schedule changes as required. Administer and enforce the Safety Program, Drug Free Workplace Program, and Hazardous Communication Program on the job site. Supervise the storage of material and equipment. Complete accident reports and make accident investigations as required. Supervise weekly safety talks. Inspect delivered materials, equipment, fixtures, and apparatus for defects of non-compliance. Work with manufacturers, owner's representative, or owner to insure a proper installation. Does job site general administrative functions including but not limited to timecards, packing slips, cost codes, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises all positions under their scope as assigned by Project Manager. Position Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS Possess a Journeyman or Master Electrician license. Must have a minimum of four years of formal training in an approved apprenticeship program. Must have a minimum of eight years field experience. Must be CPR, First Aid OSHA 30 hour and Hilti Certified. Must possess the ability to work well with people in all work levels and trades, especially personnel in their charge. Must have leadership qualities. Must be knowledgeable with the operation of all tools and equipment on the job including but not limited to cable tugger, conduit benders, lifts, KO sets, backhoe, trencher, water pumps, cranes, generators, etc. Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications, other contract documents, wiring diagrams, manufacturer's information, and other job-related directives. Must be able to identify and price changes to the contract. Must be able to make legible sketches and relate information to employees. Possess a valid Driver's License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Manually dexterous and skillful. Climb 6-to-40-foot ladders and 6-to-70-foot scaffolds. Maintain balance at any height. Reach and work overhead. Bend, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time. Manually lift and carry 50 pounds, using proper lifting method. Capable of push, pull, and reposition activities. Hear warning alarm signals at least 50 feet away. Hear directions within 10 feet when given in a loud voice. Have unimpaired vision, with or without corrective lenses. Distinguish between colors.

The work environment will have debris, materials throughout jobsite. Employee must be aware of and avoid holes', trenches, and other potential safety hazards on the jobsite.
