# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Texas Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas

Schedule: 13-week contract, night shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating weekends, no call required Highlights: - Work in a free-standing emergency department with 11 beds serving the community- Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse and 1 RN, fostering close teamwork- Utilize Meditech EMR system for streamlined documentation- Perform essential emergency procedures including IV starts, 12-lead EKGs, and comprehensive patient assessments- Point-of-care lab and ventilator equipment available on-site- Opportunity for permanent placement after contract completion Requirements: - Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required- Free-standing emergency department experience strongly preferred- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred- Proficiency in IV starts and 12-lead EKG interpretation Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where inclusiveness and mutual support are valued.
