Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The TRAVEL - SPEECH THERAPIST provides inpatient speech and swallowing evaluation and treatment for adult patients across multiple diagnoses in a rehab setting. This role delivers evidence-based therapy, including instrumental assessment as needed, while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Treat swallowing disorders and speech-language deficits using appropriate therapeutic techniques
• Perform and/or facilitate MBS studies to support diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning
• Administer and interpret therapy protocols using specialized equipment such as VitalStim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs
• Document assessments, progress, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate care with nursing and rehabilitation teams to support safe discharge planning and continuity of therapy

Qualifications:

• Hold an active VA license and/or ASHA CCCs
• Possess at least 2 years of speech-language pathology therapy experience
• Demonstrate experience working with adult patient populations
• Provide inpatient rehab experience (preferred) or equivalent clinical exposure in a hospital-based setting
• Show familiarity with neuro-related diagnoses and treatment (preferred)
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
