Senior Accounting Manager

Manage general accounting areas such as R&D and CMC accruals and other liabilities Support the team in various financial reporting activities while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, supporting schedules, and flux analyses Collaborate with other functions to obtain inputs and assumptions for monthly accrual determination Analyze financial results, account activity, and balance sheet reconciliations Identify and resolve accounting issues, unusual transactions, and reporting variances Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests Help draft and maintain accounting policies and SOPs Use AI, automation, and process simplification to implement improvements in financial reporting, accounting controls, operational efficiency, and compliance Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls CPA preferred Biotechnology, life sciences, CMC or R&D accrual experience preferred Experience supporting system implementations, workflow automation, data validation, or AI-enabled tools is a plus Experience with NetSuite required; experience with Prendio, Coupa and Expensify is beneficial Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and communication skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in U.S. GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting, with a strong focus on R&D and CMC accruals. Proficient in utilizing automation and AI tools to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency.
