Radiology - X-Ray Tech

X-ray Technician
The X-ray Technician will operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment, ensuring the highest quality of images is produced. This role requires working effectively with both inpatient and portable cases, and within the operating room. The technician will be accountable for evaluating images for technical quality and may assist with student training and competency check-offs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Evaluate images for technical quality.
- Perform X-ray procedures on inpatients and portable cases, including in the operating room.
- Float to different departments as required.
- Work with students by performing competency check-offs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma center or 2-3 years of experience in a large Level 2 trauma facility.
- BLS certification required.
- ARRT certification required.
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT approved program.
- Willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal procedures.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as EPIC and Sectra.
- Experience with equipment from GE, Phillips, and CareStream.
This position may require mask fit testing and adherence to safety protocols in a clinical setting.
