Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role centers on delivering and overseeing PT services across multiple school settings, making a significant difference for a diverse group of learners from Pre-K to 12th grade. You’ll work closely with students, staff, and a dedicated PTA, providing both direct therapy and consultative support.
Your responsibilities will include supervising a PTA, implementing therapy plans for approximately 20 students, and managing a caseload that spans ten different school sites. The schedule covers regular school hours (8:15 am – 3:45 pm), totaling 35 hours per week from August 19, 2026, through June 15, 2027. This position offers a balance of direct services (10 students) and consultative roles (10 students), giving you the chance to interact with a wide age range and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered strategies.
What You Bring:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Ability to supervise PTAs effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to serve multiple campuses and student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services and develop individualized treatment plans
- Offer consultative services to staff and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
- Supervise and mentor a skilled PTA
- Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and fellow therapists
