Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adults on the orthopedic trauma and spine-focused Med Surg unit
- Monitor telemetry, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform wound care as prescribed
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments; develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, physical/occupational therapy, case management, and other team members to coordinate care
- Support perioperative and postoperative patients, assist with mobilization, discharge planning, and patient/family education
- Respond promptly to clinical changes, participate in unit on-call rotations as required, and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience
- Orthopedic trauma experience required
- Telemetry monitoring experience required
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and on-call as needed by the unit
- Experience in a level 1 trauma facility is preferred
