Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients on a unit with co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings; update care plans accordingly
- Administer medications, monitor telemetry, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including behavioral health resources when indicated
- Maintain patient and staff safety, perform required procedures, and support discharge planning and patient education
- Adapt to a dynamic environment and varied patient populations while maintaining professional standards

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Psychology experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday/on-call requirements
