The position will be responsible for various financial and consolidation tasks involving month-end close, internal and external reporting and master data support. The position will also assist with various projects necessary to support ongoing business initiatives, as needed. The candidate will have exposure to many levels and functions within the organization.Monthly Close ResponsibilitiesProvide daily subsidiary financial submission updates to help ensure submissions are complete and accurateCompile and communicate the subsidiary monthly close scorecardAssist with mapping new subsidiary trial balance accounts into consolidation structurePrepare monthly consolidation elimination journal entries, and post corporate accounting ledgersParticipate in monthly subsidiary financial statement reviews and related team meetingsQuarterly/Annual ResponsibilitiesAssist with 10-Q and 10-K SEC filing processes, as neededAssist with the tracking and review of inventory count procedures across the subsidiariesAssist with preparation of statutory reports and related audit requestsOther Miscellaneous DutiesBEA (Bureau of Economic Analysis) Reporting – complete forms for the BEA department with applicable financial dataAssist with the financial integration of newly acquired companiesTrack and organize capital contributionsAdditional analysis or ad hoc projects, as neededMinimum Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program with an emphasis on Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3.0 GPAAbility to work 10 hours per week during the school year (additional hours can be considered if desired)Preferred Qualifications:Sophomore year status or higherFlexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands requiring initiative and independenceProficiency in Microsoft Office programsExcellent written and verbal communication skills#LI-AW1Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
